Spiral Perm Look - Alex Kingston

There are not many people that can get away with the spiral perm look but one of the women that does get away with it and also wears it with pride is the actress, Alex Kingston. At a recent appearance with her daughter at the premiere in Los Angeles of the new movie, “Monsters vs. Aliens” she wore her curly hair worn high on her head and where most women would have looked somewhat like an 80’s reject, Alex looked fabulous.

It can be very hard to tame and maintain curly hair, but rather than trying to straighten it for every public appearance, Alex wears it loose and free, and her most recent public outing, it was simply piled on the head with just a few loose tendrils hanging loosely down at either side of her face. When you first describe this hairstyle, you can imagine it to be rather messy and unkempt but in actual fact, it looked very elegant and also very lady like while still looking simple.

Worn with a simple jacket and neck tie, Alex Kingston looked beautiful and classy, something that a lot of the female celebrities today seem to have trouble doing. Perhaps it is time for us all to look at our naturally curly hair, those that are blessed with it of course, and see if rather than spending hours straightening it, we can wear it with pride, just as Alex does.
