You may not have noticed but hats are hot for winter. They are in style for both men and women. Back in the forties, ladies wore hats but if you look they wore French twists or short bobs so the hat really didn’t affect the hair much. Today if you are going to wear a hat you have to think about the effect on your hairstyle.

Hats are In!

There are a lot of good looking hats being sold today. There are also a lot of vintage hats being sold also. So you want to wear one of these great hats. One suggestion is if you are a woman is to gather your hair, if it is long enough, up on top of your head while you are wearing the hat. Then let it down when you take it off. You can brush it out with your damp fingers. Since it seems to be fedoras that have made a big comeback you do have to pay attention to the fit of the hat. You don’t want it to sit way back on your head. It looks best slightly tipped down over on eye for a very sexy sultry look.

If you are going to wear a hat, you will attract attention. So you really do want to have it fit correctly. A poor fitting hat just looks bad. You might consider a braid that you wrap or pin at the top of the head or even a French twist or even a pony tail.
