The reason this hairstyle is so popular, is the versatility of wearing styles. One minute you can be flirty in a high ponytail, and the next you can have wavy locks around the waist for a gorgeous evening look. Here are a few ideas on long hairstyles.

Hilary Duff wears a long wavy hairstyle regularly. This look is easy to achieve at home by starting with damp hair and a spray gel or mousse. Apply the mousse or spray gel to your hair in even strokes from root to tip. Massage this into the hair thoroughly, and then brush through with a wide toothed comb for distribution. Now scrunch the hair between the fingers and palms, and finish with a light mist of hairspray.

Eva Mendes wears a beautiful two toned long and wavy hairstyle that so many men go crazy for. To start, dying the hair a deep brown with golden or copper highlights will start this style off. With damp hair, roll Velcro curlers into 2 inch sections starting at the ends, and winding the curlers towards the scalp. When dry, remove the curlers and massage mousse throughout the curls while fingering through them to separate. Once separated to the desired wave, simply use a generous amount of a medium hold hairspray to the outside of the curls to help hold them in place.
