Katie Holmes has gone through several life changes these past few years. Getting married to famous actor Tom Cruise a few years back and having a baby. And just several months ago the pretty actress shed off her long locks for a sexy bob.

Since her rise to popularity via the series “Dawson’s Creek,” Katie Holmes had always worn shoulder-length or long hair. So, when she opted to sport a medium short bob many were surprised – and various reactions were heard everywhere.

A lot of people were on the opposites regarding her decision to let go of her tresses. But if you consider carefully, maybe for Katie the change is timely and significant. Maybe she wished to symbolize the big changes happening in her life right now that speak of maturity. So, as a sign of maturity, she chose to wear a bob which is as timeless as beauty itself.

Regardless of the controversial impact her move had created, however, one could certainly see that Katie’s new hairstyle complements her features well. The soft waves falling beautifully bounce as nicely; and it has surely made her look like a mature woman who knows what she wants and how to get it. Although her child-like innocent beauty still shines through, the elegant bob seems to say, “I’m not a child anymore, but definitely a woman who has found my own place under the sun.”
